PEACE & DEVELOPMENT ORGANIZATION (PDO) is a Non-Profitable, Non-Political and
Non-Governmental Rights based Organization (NGO) registered under societies Act XXI
Of 1860 (with registration No. 1828/5/6336), founded in 2010 by a number of like
minded people with aim to continue Right Based Approach (RBA) and involvement of
ignored segment of society in the process of development. The focus of PDO is based on
the principles of Peace Promotion, People Participation, Advocacy and Campaigning,
Strive for Human Rights, Local Institutional Building and Poverty Reduction.
Note:PDO is responding to recent emergency in Pakistan, million of people displaced due to massive flood by moon soon rains. People need shelter, clothing, food and medication for survival. PDO is not having much resources to support people in need and looking forward to get help for these disaster victims.
PDO works through community based approaches where accountability is in the hands of community. PDO works on volunteerism and have 115 register volunteers to deal with and kind of situation, these volunteers and having diverse experience, backgrounds and trained.
